Keerthy Suresh

Keerthy Suresh (born 17 October 1992) is an Indian actress, who is primarily in Tamil and Telugu films, in addition to several Malayalam films. She received an award called the National Film Award as Best Actress in the year 2018 for her portrayal of actress Savitri and her role in the Telugu film Mahanati. She also won an award from the Filmfare Award South and three SIIMA Awards. Keerthy Kumar Suresh is actor Menaka G. Suresh's daughter. Her career began as a child performer at the beginning of 2000 and returned to films after studying fashion design. She starred in her debut major role as a lead actress in Geethaanjali (2013), an Malayalam movie. She went on to star in successful films such as Ring Master (2014), Rajinimurugan (2016), Remo (2016), Bairavaa (2017), Nenu Local (2017), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Mahanati (2018), Sarkar (2018), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Penguin (2020), Miss India (2021), Good Luck Sakhi (2022) and Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022). Her first film outside of Malayalam was Idhuenna Maayam (2015) with Vikram Prabhu. The film didn't do well in the theater. The first film she acted in came in A. L. Vijay's romantic comedy Idhu Enna Maayam (2015), opposite Vikram Prabhu, though the film didn't do well in the theater. She had to drop out of a variety of projects she was already making in 2015 such as Krishna's Maane Thaene Paeye, and Deekay's Kavalai Vedam in order to allow for larger projects. She worked in two films in rapid succession alongside Sivakarthikeyan, Rajini Murugan & Remo. Dhanush was also an actor of note on Prabhu's Thodari. The film has been delayed from 2015 with reports that it would be released in September in 2020 under the new name Janakitho Nenu. In the year 2016 Nenu Sailaja with Ram Pothineni, was her debut. Keerthy was cast opposite Vijay on screen in Bairavaa by Bharathan that premiered on January 17, 2017. Keerthy also appeared on screen in Tamil film Paambhu sattai and Telugu film Nenu Local in 2017.
