Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder (born Winona Laura Hornowitz) was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named her for her hometown. Both her father Michel Horowitz, and mother Cynthia Palmer are authors and editors. Ryder's father came from a Jewish family Ryder believes she is Jewish. She has two younger half-siblings, Jubal and Sunyata. Ryder's family relocated to Mendocino County to California at the age of 7 years old. They didn't have electricity. Ryder was a voracious read and often spent her time studying books since there was no TV. When she turned twelve, Ryder joined the American Conservatory Theatre to take acting classes. Ryder landed her first film role on the big screen in 1986 at the age of 15 older. Ryder was bullied in high school. Her professional acting, she believed to help, could have helped her. However, it didn't come pass. The actress continued to chase her dreams. Beetlejuice which was a 1988 Tim Burton film, was her first big break. Ryder was a star in various films.
